Sanson is located where
State Highways 1 & 3
meet in the Manawatu.
Affectionately known as the Gateway to the District, it is the busiest Junction in the North Island, if not the country.
The new 2019/20 branding for the township is 'Touch Down in Sanson' due to its proximity to the Defence Force's Royal New Zealand Air Force Base, Ohakea

There is one business in Sanson that brings people in from near and quite far away just for their food. Famous in the district, the Sanson Chinese Takeaways has friendly staff, good food; with a great selection of takeaway meals, is clean and tidy and the ideal stop off for a quick takeaway meal.
